A lot of people have enjoyed Fifth Gospel inmensely. It's the story of a young Air Force fighter pilot who volunteers for a dangerous Top Secret mission. Dangerous Top Secret missions are conducted frequently in the armed forces, but no mission was ever like this. It was the most carefully guarded secret since the Manhattan Project. It was incredible, impossible, and inconceivable. It was time travel. O'Brien's fantastic trip is a modern day quest for the Holy Grail, only a thousand times more exciting because he is not searching for an artifact; he is being sent back in time to make contact with the historical figure known to the world as Jesus Christ.
